Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) finished last season not only as champions of Europe but also as the top earners in Union of European Football Association’s (UEFA) financial distribution from its club competitions.
According to figures released by UEFA, the French side received €144 million in prize money ($171 million), the highest payout among participating clubs. Their triumph in the UEFA Champions League ensured both silverware and a significant financial boost.
Across Europe, participation in the Champions League carries major economic weight. Revenue from the tournament underpins club budgets, influences transfer strategies and, for some teams, plays a decisive role in financial stability.
UEFA’s breakdown shows that about $475 million was distributed to clubs eliminated before reaching the league phase, while a further $366 million went to teams that did not progress beyond the preliminary qualifying rounds.
Among those who reached the competition proper, Inter Milan, who finished as runners-up, earned €136 million ($161.5 million).
