Sri Lanka have suffered another injury setback at the Men’s T20 World Cup, with Matheesha Pathirana ruled out of the tournament after straining a muscle in his left leg

The 23-year-old collapsed during his first over against Australia in Pallekele and did not return, though Sri Lanka went on to claim an eight wicket win.

Dilshan Madushanka has been approved as his replacement. It’s the second major blow for the islanders after Wanindu Hasaranga was sidelined with a hamstring injury in the opener against Ireland.
