United Nations (UN) and its humanitarian partners have launched this year’s Humanitarian Needs and Response Plan for Burkina Faso, seeking $658.5 million to support the country’s most vulnerable populations.
Aligned with national priorities, the plan aims to assist 2.7 million people across 13 regions, with a focus on food security, health services, and essential humanitarian support.
UN Secretary-General Spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric highlighted the critical need for co-ordinated action to address the growing humanitarian challenges in the Sahel country, stressing that timely support is essential to prevent further suffering.
