Loggerhead sea turtles in Cape Verde are arriving earlier to nest as Atlantic Ocean temperatures continue to rise, according to a 17-year scientific study.
However, researchers found that the turtles are breeding less frequently and laying fewer eggs, raising concerns about the long-term impact of climate change on marine life.
The findings suggest that warming ocean conditions are disrupting natural migration and reproductive cycles, potentially threatening turtle populations across the region.
