Namibia and Finland are strengthening co-operation on sustainable development through a Circular Economy Dialogue, aimed at turning policy ideas into practical solutions.
The event, hosted jointly by the Embassy of Finland and the Namibia Investment Promotion and Development Board (NIPDB), brought together policymakers, academics, business leaders, and community representatives to explore how circular economy approaches can support Namibia’s long-term development goals.
Rodney Sikopo, Deputy Director of the Bilateral Department at Namibia’s Ministry of International Relations and Trade, highlighted the importance of partnerships that combine government planning with private sector innovation and community participation.
He said the dialogue is designed to help Namibia implement strategies that reduce waste, promote recycling, and foster sustainable industries, creating economic opportunities while protecting natural resources.
