The selection of the next Prosecutor-General in Angola has reignited discussions about the independence of the judiciary.

Following a vote at the Superior Council of the Public Ministry, three candidates have been forwarded for final approval by President João Lourenço.

Questions remain over whether the current model truly ensures transparency and a clear separation of powers.
