UNISA says it has recorded exceptional graduation outcomes
The University of South Africa (UNISA) says it has recorded exceptional graduation outcomes over the past five years.
UNISA Vice Chancellor and Principal, Professor Puleng LenkaBula, says between 2021 and 2025 the institution graduated more than 50 thousand students annually a performance she describes as a strong recovery and growth period following the COVID‑19 pandemic.
She also highlighted that over 10 000 students, who were unable to graduate during the height of the pandemic, have since returned to complete their qualifications.
LenkaBula reaffirmed that UNISA remains SA biggest and most diverse university, embracing multiple and equally valid ways of knowing that reflect the communities it serves.
The university briefed the media in Pretoria, Gauteng Province on the state of the institution.
