Botswana President Duma Boko is on an official visit to Angola and Namibia aimed at strengthening trade and investment co-operation.

Boko is in Luanda today for talks with Angolan President João Lourenço, before heading to Namibia on Thursday to meet President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah.

According to Botswana’s presidency, the visits are focused on boosting economic ties, particularly in the mining and energy sectors. The leaders are also expected to explore broader co-operation in areas such as water resource management, tourism, and conservation.

All three countries are part of the Kavango-Zambezi Transfrontier Conservation Area, alongside Zambia and Zimbabwe, a regional initiative aimed at promoting sustainable development and environmental protection.
