Iranian missiles have hit two towns in southern Israel, leaving more than 100 people injured, according to health officials.

At least 70 people were wounded when a missile struck the town of Arad, causing extensive damage to buildings. Hours earlier, another strike hit a building in Dimona, injuring more than 30 people.

Emergency services say both attacks caused significant destruction, with rescue teams working to assist those affected. Dimona is widely believed to be near a key nuclear research facility, although Israel maintains a long-standing policy of not confirming or denying its nuclear capabilities.

Meanwhile, Israel’s Army Chief Eyal Zamir said the conflict with Iran is “about halfway through”, adding that military operations will continue into next week, including during the Jewish Passover holiday.
