He has now won 26 consecutive sets at Masters level, moving clear of Novak Djokovic, who previously held the record at 24.

Sinner has won the last two Masters events, in Indian Wells recently and in Paris last year, without dropping a set and, he was also in fine form against Moutet in Miami.

The Italian will now face American, Alex Michelsen in the fourth round.

Sinner is aiming to become the first man to complete the ‘Sunshine Double’ since Roger Federer achieved the feat in 2017.
