SA Minister visits Mankweng Hospital after death of one of the conjoined twins

The twins were successfully separated in mid-March.

South Africa’s (SA) Health Minister Aaron Motsoaledi is Friday afternoon visiting Mankweng Hospital, east of Polokwane in Limpopo province, after the death of one of the formerly conjoined twins.

The twin died Friday morning due to infections after the successful operation to separate them.

The twins were successfully separated in mid-March.

The Sithole twins were born attached by the abdomen in January. The remaining twin is said to be in a healthy condition.
