South Africa’s (SA) ultra-marathon specialist Gerda Steyn has secured her seventh Two Oceans Marathon in a row.
This is after crossing the finish line first on the University of Cape Town playing fields after 56 gruelling kilometres in the 2026 edition of the race.
Steyn finished ahead of Kenya’s Margaret Jepchumba.
SA runners dominated the marathon in both women’s and men’s races.
SA’s Arthur Jantjies has won the men’s race, beating fellow South African Onalenna Khonkhobe.
