Senegal is hosting the International Forum on Peace and Security in Africa.
The forum will focus on the challenges facing some African regions due to conflicts.
The Sahel region that includes Western African countries has been dealing with a wave of coups.
As the conference gets underway Senegalese are saying there has been relatively peace in their country.
Diarora Seck says, “Senegal is the country of hospitality. If you take a board here you can go to America, Brazil and European countries and you don’t come back and say bye-bye Africa.”
