Three new health initiatives worth more than $17 million, have been launched under the African Union (AU) and European Union (EU) partnership.
The leaders are pledging stronger co-operation on health security, pandemic preparedness and digital health systems across the continent.
The programmes were unveiled at the Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention headquarters in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
Both continents intensify efforts to address current and future health threats.
This is also to advance Africa’s health sovereignty and broader sustainable development objectives.
