Sierra Leone marks its 65th Independence Anniversary, joining South Africa (SA) and Togo who also mark their independence day this Monday.
The West African nation gained independence from Britain ending over 150 years of colonial rule. The country commemorates independence under the theme: “Building a Responsive, Resilient and Cohesive Sierra Leone” this year.
Former Vice Presidency of Pan African Parliament and served as the minority leader in the Sierra Leone Parliament Doctor Bernadette Lahai says the although the country till grapples with some issues, there has been some progress.
