Music icon Judith Sephuma is set to return to the spotlight with a deeply personal live concert

South African (SA) music icon Judith Sephuma is set to return to the spotlight with a deeply personal live concert that celebrates her musical journey across Afro Jazz and gospel.

The show, titled Judith Sephuma Live in Concert, will take place on July 4, 2026 at the Theatre of Marcellus at Emperors Palace in Gauteng, SA.

The two-hour production promises a rich lifestyle and entertainment experience, blending Sephuma’s signature Afro Jazz classics with selections from her gospel repertoire, music from her latest album When Winter Fades, which earned a Metro FM Awards nomination, as well as brand-new gospel songs being performed live for the first time in years.

Sephuma says the concert is both a celebration and a response to her audience, many of whom have long called for her return to gospel music.

“Since my My Worship project in 2017, I haven’t returned to gospel in a dedicated way, even though fans have continued to ask for it,” she said. “This concert is my way of responding, by bringing everything together in one experience.”

Known for her versatility and emotive storytelling, Sephuma has built one of SA’s most respected vocal careers, effortlessly moving between genres while maintaining a strong connection with audiences.

The upcoming performance is expected to offer fans a curated, intimate experience that moves between reflection, joy and celebration, highlighting her signature vocal power and artistic range.
