SA will hope to be third time lucky after losing the final of this World Cup in both of the last two editions.
South Africa’s (SA) women’s cricket Coach Mandla Mashimbyi has acknowledged that there’s still a bit of work to do before heading to the T20 World Cup in England next month, not least of which is getting comfortable with facing spin bowling at the tournament.
While Mashimbyi says he’s largely satisfied with his team’s preparations, he expressed concern about the middle order when it comes to that aspect of the game and believes that this is one of the areas to work on.

“We do have a little bit of work to do. I’m really happy with where the team is at the moment. There are a couple of things that we’re going to have to make sure we work on, especially with the middle order looking after the spinners, because most teams are going to bowl spin in the middle period. Once we get comfortable with that, I think we’re going to put a lot of teams under pressure,” says Mashimbyi.
