Botswana and Rwanda have signed six bilateral agreements aimed at strengthening trade, investment and the movement of people between the two countries.
The agreements were signed during talks between President Duma Boko and President Paul Kagame as Kagame concluded a two-day state visit to Botswana.
Boko described the agreements as practical steps towards removing barriers that slow economic cooperation and regional integration.
He also welcomed measures introduced by Rwanda to ease movement between the two countries, saying Botswana would respond with reciprocal arrangements for Rwandan citizens.
The two leaders said they want to increase trade volumes and investment flows while deepening co-operation in key sectors.
