Rushine de Reuck, a South African (SA) football defender, says his move to Tanzania has helped revive his career after a difficult and injury-hit spell at Mamelodi Sundowns.

The 30-year-old joined Tanzanian club Simba SC at the start of the season after discussions with coach Fadlu Davids, who has since returned to Morocco to rejoin Raja Club Athletic.

De Reuck said moving to a new country and adapting to a different football environment gave him a fresh start and helped restore his confidence.

Before relocating to Tanzania, Sundowns had loaned him to Maccabi Petah Tikva in Israel during the second half of last season, although he described that experience as a mixed one.
