Exhibitors and industry leaders have been encouraged to use the next few days of the Africa Travel Indaba to secure business deals that will help improve the continent.
This year travel trade show is held under the theme: “Unlimited Africa, Growing Africa’s Tourism Economy.”
It’s Africa’s largest tourism event. The three-day showcase has brought together local and international buyers, investors, and more than one thousand exhibitors from over 20 countries across the continent.
Speaking at the opening in Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal province on Tuesday, Tourism Minister Patricia De Lille said: “Let us continue to grow the tourism sector because this sector is changing lives, many, many lives in our country. And we have over 1200 exhibitors on the floor and I know you want to get out there with more than 1000 buyers from 71 countries around the world. It is time to make a deal; it is time to draw business on the floor.
