Opposition leader Venâncio Mondlane has called for three days of mourning in Mozambique following the killing of senior opposition member Anselmo Vicente.
Vicente was reportedly shot dead last week in the town of Chimoio in Manica Province.
Mondlane, who leads an opposition movement challenging the government, condemned the killing and called for justice, while supporters expressed concern over rising political tensions in the country.
