South African (SA) Minister of Arts and Culture Gayton McKenzie has described Nelson Mandela as a man of truth, during a formal recognition of the Nelson Mandela Collection as a Specifically Declared Heritage Collection in Nelson Mandela Museum in Mthatha, in the Eastern Cape Province.

The declaration ensures that the collection known as the “Gifts of the Nation,” is preserved and protected for future generations.

As the world celebrated the international Museum Day.

Local school learners, traditional leaders and other prestigious guests witnessed the declaration of the Nelson Mandela Museum’s collection as a national treasure.

This is to ensures that the collection is preserved against sale, loss and damage.
The aim is to ensure the collection is preserved for future generations.
