South Africa’s (SA) Justice, Crime Prevention and Security (JCPS) cluster Mnisters will later this Monday meet political party representatives, groups and associations who have been involved in protests against undocumented migrants in the country.

Organisations like March and March are holding marches calling for undocumented immigrants to leave SA and return to their countries of origin.

The aim of these engagements is to establish the rules of engagement during protests and also discuss government’s plan to deal with the problem of undocumented migrants.

Meanwhile, three hundred Ghanaian nationals living in SA have voluntarily presented themselves to the Ghana High Commission in Pretoria, Gauteng province to be processed for repatriation to their home country on Wednesday.

The process follows growing tensions between some local communities and undocumented migrants in parts of SA.

Some Ghanaian nationals say they can no longer guarantee their safety following protests targeting undocumented migrants.
