According to Xaba, while SA offers a highly competitive local circuit, the unique pressure of international events provides an essential layer of friction required for her continued athletic growth. The strategy marks a growing trend among SA road runners who are increasingly looking abroad to test their limits against world-class opposition and elevate the country’s athletic profile globally.
According to the distance star, athletes must accept certain career limitations, move on, and focus aggressively on their ultimate objectives. She stated that racing abroad is an opportunity to go out there, shine, and write her name outside the country, emphasising that she actively needs more intense competition surrounding her to truly evolve.
