The East African Crude Oil Pipeline project (EACOP), in partnership with TotalEnergies, is stepping up efforts to empower young people through specialized conferences, seminars, and training programmes designed to help them access opportunities in the energy sector.
The initiative aims to equip local youth with critical skills, technical knowledge, and direct industry exposure, enabling them to benefit from employment and business opportunities linked to major energy projects developing across the region.
Speaking on the development, independent Dar es Salaam-based journalist Wilberforce Ngoto said the project is strictly focused on preparing young people to participate meaningfully in the growing energy industry while supporting long-term skills development and economic inclusion.
