The debate around immigration, undocumented migrants, and growing tensions in some South African communities continues to draw strong reactions from across the African continent.
The latest comes from the Southern Africa Migration Network, which has expressed concern over what it describes as rising Afrophobia.
It also raised concerned and the impact this could have on regional solidarity, human rights, and South Africa’s standing within Africa.
The organisation is also calling for greater protection of migrants and a renewed commitment to the principles of Pan-Africanism.
