The Circuit de Monaco hosted its annual Grand Prix, a cornerstone event of the Mediterranean summer calendar known for combining high-stakes motorsport with the scenery of the French Riviera. The race weekend concluded with a mix of structural track challenges and mechanical failures that reshaped the final results.

Italian driver Kimi Antonelli, 19, secured the victory for Mercedes from pole position, making him the youngest winner in the history of the Monaco event. The win marks his fifth consecutive race victory of the season, extending his lead in the World Championship standings to 156 points.

Ferrari’s Lewis Hamilton finished in second place, securing his second consecutive runner-up position of the season to move into second place in the championship standings with 90 points. Following post-race time penalties handed to Alpine’s Pierre Gasly, Red Bull’s Isack Hadjar was promoted to third place on the podium.

The event featured high attrition, with seven total driver retirements. Defending world champion Max Verstappen retired on the opening lap due to a mechanical failure, while McLaren’s Lando Norris and Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc also failed to finish.

The race was halted by a 30-minute red flag period following an accident involving Lance Stroll and Charles Leclerc. Race officials paused proceedings to repair a section of the asphalt that had broken apart at the final corner, resuming the Grand Prix with a standing start that Antonelli successfully defended until the checkered flag.
