The 9th South African (SA) Tuberculosis (TB) conference is currently underway in Johannesburg, Gauteng Province.
The conference has brought together researchers, healthcare professionals, and civil society among others in order to advance efforts towards ending TB.
The conference is held under the theme, “Vuka! Let’s unite towards a TB-free world!”.
TB remains one of the leading causes of death in SA.
However there has been significant improvements in diagnosis, treatment access, and prevention efforts over the past decade.
