A group of 228 Ghanaian nationals repatriated from Côte d’Ivoire has arrived in Accra following a mass demolition of buildings by Ivorian authorities.

Ghana says it is repatriating a total of 327 people. According to Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, arrangements are in place for the remaining 201 individuals to return today.

The affected nationals had been residing in communities impacted by the demolition exercise and became stranded after losing their livelihoods and lacking the means to secure alternative accommodation.
