TIZ urges President Hichilema to stop using state resources for campaign

Transparency International Zambia has formally requested President Hakainde Hichilema to stop utilising state resources and public property for his political campaign ahead of the upcoming tripartite elections scheduled for August 13, 2026.

The good governance and anti-corruption advocacy group issued the appeal through its Executive Director, Maurice Nyambe.

The organisation emphasises that the separation of state assets from ruling party campaign activities is critical to ensuring a fair, transparent, and credible electoral process as the nation prepares to go to the polls.
