President Cyril Ramaphosa has arrived in France for a high-profile three-day working visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations, advancing educational partnerships, and reinforcing South Africa’s (SA) diplomatic footprint in Europe.
The state visit follows the recent strategic appointment of former Cabinet Minister Ayanda Dlodlo as SA’s new Ambassador to France, a move signalling Pretoria’s intent to deepen its engagement with Paris.
Ramaphosa’s tight itinerary includes high-level talks with French President Emmanuel Macron and top-tier government officials, focusing on trade, geopolitical co-operation, and mutual development goals. He is also scheduled to engage with United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation leaders to discuss collaborative initiatives in education, cultural heritage, and technology.
