Tanzanian football giants Simba SC have signed South African (SA) forward Keletso Makgalwa from Sekhukhune United on a two-year contract, beating their bitter Tanzanian rivals Young Africans to the transfer.
The 29-year-old joins head coach Steve Barker’s, who narrowly missed out on the Tanzanian NBC Premier League title last season despite remaining unbeaten since December. Young Africans attempted a late swoop under their new coach, Manqoba Mngqithi, but the move collapsed, allowing Simba to complete the signing.
Makgalwa is the second SA Betway Premiership player to move to Simba during this transfer window, following Ibrahim Jabaar. He will team up with Rushine De Reuck at the Tanzanian club, while Neo Maema returns to Mamelodi Sundowns after his loan spell.
