North Africa’s football clubs are gearing up for another massive season on the continent, with today’s Confederation of African Football (CAF) draw set to map out their routes in the 2026/27 Champions League and Confederation Cup.
Leading the charge for the region are league champions Zamalek (Egypt), MC Alger (Algeria), Club Africain (Tunisia), MAS Fes (Morocco), and Al-Suwaihli (Libya).
They’re backed by a formidable group of cup winners, including Pyramids FC, USM Alger, Espérance Tunis, and Al-Ahli Tripoli. Morocco will confirm its final representative after the Throne Cup final.
Clubs from the region have long set the standard in CAF competitions, with names like Al Ahly, Espérance, and Raja Casablanca writing much of African football history. As the new campaign kicks off, North Africa’s elite will once again be the teams to beat.
