SA access to a key United States (US) trade agreement is set to continue

South Africa’s (SA) access to a key United States (US) trade agreement is set to continue for another two years, but uncertainty remains over its future.

The African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA), gives eligible sub-Saharan African countries duty-free access to the US market.

The latest extension would keep SA covered until the end of 2028.

How SA still needs approval from US President Donald Trump.
