Cameroon has dominated the Confederation of African Football (CAF) official Team of the Tournament following the conclusion of the TotalEnergies Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.
The Indomitable Lionesses secured four spots in the ideal eleven, headlined by midfielder Monique Ngock, who was named the tournament’s Best Player. Goalkeeper Michaely Bihina earned the Best Goalkeeper award, while teammate Myriam Nyadjou claimed the Best Young Player accolade. Rounding out Cameroon’s achievements, head coach Valentine Nguele was named Coach of the Tournament.
Malawi made a strong showing in the forward line, led by Temwa Chawinga, who finished as the tournament’s top scorer with five goals and two assists. She was joined in the team’s selection by her sister, Tabitha Chawinga. Zambia’s Barbra Banda completed the high-powered attacking trio.
