Sudan army strikes RSF convoys

The Sudanese Armed Forces have launched targeted strikes against two paramilitary convoys along key desert supply routes, escalating military operations to cut off external weapons flows to the Rapid Support Forces (RSF).

Militia groups allied with the Sudanese military confirmed hitting an RSF convoy near the Libyan border on Sunday. Meanwhile, neighbouring Chad has accused the Sudanese armed forces of launching cross-border drone strikes against a transport convoy within Chadian territory.

The strikes reflect a broader tactical push by the Sudanese army to tighten control over remote transit corridors following years of heavy fighting. Despite international sanctions, illegal arms shipments and foreign mercenaries have continued to flow into Sudan across its porous desert borders.
