Zimbabwean martial artist Shihan Wilfred Mashaya delivered an impressive performance over the weekend, sweeping four gold medals at the 2026 International Combat Organisation Scottish Open Martial Arts Tournament in Glasgow.

Competing at the Easterhouse Sports Centre, Mashaya dominated his division to claim top honors across all four events he entered; Traditional Weapons, Musical Weapons, Creative Weapons, and Freestyle Weapons.

The high-profile tournament drew top martial artists from across the United Kingdom, featuring tough competition from Scotland, England, Wales, and Northern Ireland.

Reflecting on his victory, Mashaya said bringing four golds back to Zimbabwe was a deeply proud moment, noting how special it felt to represent both his country and the broader African continent on an international stage.
