Egyptian and Moroccan clubs dominate UNAF Openers

Morocco’s FUS Rabat and Egypt’s Masar have made emphatic starts to the North African Football Union (UNAF) qualifiers for the 2026 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Women’s Champions League, securing dominant victories in their opening group matches in Tunisia.

Masar delivered the most clinical performance of Tuesday’s opening round, dismantling host club Sousse Women’s Association 9–0. In the second fixture of the day, FUS Rabat cruised to a comfortable 4–0 victory over Algeria’s Akbou FC.

The convincing, goal-free defensive displays earn both the Egyptian and Moroccan sides three points apiece, immediately establishing them as early frontrunners for the single regional qualification spot at the continental finals.
