Deputy President Paul Mashatile has assured South Africans (SA) that he is recovering well.
In a statement, he says he will continue to rest on the advice of his doctors until advised otherwise.
Last month Mashatile, underwent a minor surgery.
He has thanked President Cyril Ramaphosa, his family, colleagues in government and those from his political home for supporting him.
Mashatile says he remains dedicated to the responsibilities entrusted to him.
