South Africa (SA) has hosted a delegation from Uganda’s Vocational and Technical Assessment Board for discussions on qualifications, technical and vocational education, and skills development.
The engagement has focused on how the two countries can strengthen their qualifications systems.
The move and create clearer pathways between vocational training, higher education and the world of work.
It also highlights a wider challenge for countries across Africa, how to equip young people with skills that are recognised, transferable and relevant to changing labour markets.
