South Africa (SA) must move from talking about its digital future to building and controlling it.
That’s the focus as GovTech 2026 gets underway in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal Province, bringing together public sector and technology leaders, to examine how SA can take greater control of its digital future.
The three-day conference organised by the State Information Technology Agency is focusing on digital sovereignty, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, data governance and infrastructure.
The emphasis of the conference is on turning policy into measurable outcomes for citizens.
