Cape Verde will host the CAF Strategy Conference from October 7-9, 2026 in Santa Maria, Sal Island.
Led by CAF President Doctor Patrice Motsepe, the event will bring together Presidents of all 54 Member Associations, coaches of Africa’s 10 FIFA World Cup 2026 teams, and global football Experts, including Arsène Wenger’s FIFA Technical Study Group.
The conference will focus on football development and sustainability while reviewing Africa’s record World Cup showing, where nine teams reached the knockout stage. It will also involve women’s and youth national team coaches, linking lessons from elite competition to long-term growth.
With Cape Verde’s inspiring World Cup run as a backdrop, the gathering marks a defining moment for African football as it prepares for even greater success at the 2030 World Cup.
