The Mapungubwe Institute for Strategic Reflection (MISTRA), in partnership with Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES) South Africa (SA), are this Monday hosting the Third Biennial MISTRA Forum on Africa & Geopolitics in Johannesburg, SA.
The Forum gathers policymakers, business and labour leaders, civil society, academics and experts from around the world to examine the global geopolitical trajectory over the next 15 years, and Africa’s place within it.
Themed ‘Imagining the World in 2040: Global geopolitical scenarios and their impacts on Africa’, comes as overlapping crises test the foundations of the international system.
SA Reserve Bank Governor Lesetja Kganyago will deliver the Forum’s keynote address, titled ‘Policy Challenges of the New Global Disorder” this afternoon.
