South Africa’s (SA) Suspended Deputy National Police Commissioner for Crime Detection, Lieutenant-General Shadrack Sibiya’s bail application is expected to resume this Thursday morning at the Randburg Magistrates Court.
He is facing five charges, including rape, human trafficking and the alleged sexual grooming of a sixteen-year-old girl.
Sibiya’s bail application was postponed on Tuesday to allow the the state time to adequately prepare to cross-examine the defenses first witness.
 Sibiya was also a witness at the Madlanga commission of inquiry for alleged links to drug cartel bosses.
