The Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) says its latest Ebola outbreak may have reached its peak.
This is after a decline in new cases and deaths in some of the worst-affected areas in the country’s northeast.
But Health Minister Roger Kamba is warning that efforts to contain the virus must be stepped up to bring the outbreak to an end.
The outbreak has so far affected Bulape and Mweka health zones in Kasai Province, home to around 3.5 million people.
The ongoing outbreak is the 16th Ebola outbreak in the DRC since the disease was identified in 1976.
