The Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Mahmoud Ali Youssouf, has warned that a rapidly changing global geopolitical landscape is creating serious challenges for Africa’s peace, security and economic development.
He was speaking at the AU’s Mid-Year Co-ordination Meeting in El-Alamein, Egypt, where African leaders discussed continental integration and the implementation of Agenda 2063.
Youssouf called for deeper analysis to help Africa adapt to the changing global environment and build resilience.
He has also warned that shifting global geopolitics is creating serious challenges for Africa’s peace and socio-economic development.
