DIRCO is facing questions from Parliament
South Africa’s (SA) Department of International Relations and Co-operation (DIRCO) is facing questions from Parliament over money owed to the country by foreign governments.
DIRCO appeared before Members of Parliament to discuss efforts to recover outstanding debts.
The debt include money owed to SA Airways by Zimbabwe.
But lawmakers say they still do not have a clear picture of how much is owed and how old the debts are.
Officials say they also don’t know when the money is expected to be repaid.
