The South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) has reiterated that it will deliver successful coverage on November 4, Local Government Elections (LGE) but within financial constraints.
SABC Group Chief Executive Officer Nomsa Chabeli says the public broadcaster is yet to get a favourable response from National Treasury on its request of $7.25 million (R120 million) to fund a comprehensive coverage plan for the election.
Chabeli has briefed the Select Committee on Economic Development on the SABC’s 2026 and 27 Corporate Plan.
