Angola and Namibia are ramping up efforts to boost economic cooperation, with a major focus on bilateral trade, joint infrastructure investments, and cross-border commercial ventures as Namibian President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah’s official state visit to Angola concludes this Tuesday.
The gathering, highlighted by bilateral talks with Angolan President João Lourenço, the inaugural Binational Commission, and the Angola-Namibia Business Forum, brought together top government officials and business leaders to concrete plans for regional development.
Angolan economist Dr Lutumba Simão noted that the summit marks a decisive step forward for Southern African integration. He pointed out that streamlining cross-border logistics and expanding trade corridors between the two neighbors will be crucial for accelerating economic momentum across the Southern African Development Community region.
