Ugandan golf contingent travels to Kenya for Migingo Skirmishes event

More than 130 Ugandan golfers are heading to Kenya on October 31 for Season Two of the I&M Bank Katogo Golf Series, dubbed the “Migingo Skirmishes”, at Limuru Country Club.

The visiting group features players from several of Uganda’s top clubs, including Entebbe Club, Lake Victoria Serena Golf Resort & Spa, Uganda Golf Club, and the Marylouise Simkins Memorial Golf Club in Namulonge. This marks the fourth cross-border tournament in the series, following previous legs held at Kigali Golf Resort & Villas in Rwanda, Entebbe Club in Uganda, and earlier rounds at Limuru.

The tournament’s name takes a lighthearted jab at Migingo Island, a tiny, densely populated island on Lake Victoria that holds major economic and strategic importance for both Kenyan and Ugandan fishing communities.

The event will wrap up with a denim-and-white-themed 19th-hole party featuring food, music, and entertainment from both Kenya and Uganda.
